Phillip Lamont Stewart

Phillip Lamont Stewart is survived by his devoted and loving wife Annette of twenty-two years, children Jessica, Jovan (Raqual), Jasmine Stewart, Jenea’ Thorne (Marcus), Jannette, Phillip Barrett and Jennifer Smith, mother Dollie Salter (Larry), siblings Dana Salter and Branden Salter, Frederick Brown, father and Sean Brown brother, grandchildren Jamel, Jamal, Rayven, Ja’Layah, Patrick, Cameron, Jamarien, Jameis, Jaxon, Ja’Miyah, Jabriel, Jadyn and Jaylen. Wayne Alford, Sr. (Victoria) and Sherrod Middleton (Liza) were raised as Phillip’s brothers after their mothers predeceased them, paternal grandmother Phyllis Brown, aunt Patricia Rodgers, sister- in-law Cindy Crawford, uncles Roy Crawford, Joseph Stewart (Deborah) Eugene Stewart, cousins Robyn, Lisa, Robina, Nicole, Gail, Helena, Lisa, Veronica, Max, Alexa, Irving, Brittany, Kaiyah VanNess, Tyler, Jalen and Dominick, Wayne and Darcel Alford, Channing, David, Alexander and many other cousins nieces and nephews. Always room for one more; Phillip shared his home with twenty-two foster children and their families over a twelve year period and remained in contact with them over the years. Phillip has several god-sisters and brothers Tonya Wood, Ebony Cathcart, Laquita Blockson, Marzette Porterfield, and LaTonya Whitt.

He is also preceded in death by his beloved great great grandmother Dollie J. Glass, grandmother Diane M. “BlueSky Crawford, mother-in-law Felicia Barrett, grandmother Clara Barrett and sister-in-law Nicola Barrett and grandson Jamarcus Waller.

Phillip was a coach operator for Star Coaches since 2002 and has driven for such clients as Hootie & The Blowfish, David Copperfield, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Rickey Smiley, Jill Scott, Feld Entertainment, The Neighbourhood, Experience Hendrix, Gary Clark, Jr., Of Monsters & Men, Lionel Richie, The Temptations, 88Rising, Cyndi Lauper, Yo Gotti, and Marc Anthony just to name a few.

Phil proved over his career with Star Coaches to be "the guy for high end clientele".

Phil loved to ride motorcycles and was a member of The Tight Riders Motor Cycle Club.

A celebration of Phillip’s life will be held at 4PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with Dr. Tariq Z. Cummings and Pastor John Paul McGee officiating. The family will receive friends from 2PM until service time.
