Robert “Snake” Hardy Jr. Age 70 of Winder, entered into rest Saturday, January 04, 2014 at the Winder Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 6, in the Smith Memory Chapel. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home on Monday. Mr. Hardy had retired after 37 years of service as a dispatcher with the Georgia State Patrol. He was a 1962 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, and was a member of Union Baptist Church and the Georgia Sheriffs Association. He also was a member of the winder Moose Lodge where he was a three time past governor. Survivors include his sister, Diane (Lindsey) Greeson, Winder; his niece, Stephanie McFerrin, Nephew, Brent Greeson, and 2-great nieces and a great nephew.
