
Rodney Russell Hall “Hero”, age 48 of Winder, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014.He worked for the GA DOT as a Technician and a HERO Operator. He was a member of Winder First Baptist Church, The APA Pool League and he was a veteran of the US Army and the 82nd Airborne where he served during the Panama Invasion, he followed serving in the National Guard. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his father, George Russell Hall and a brother, Tim Satterfield. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Langston Hall of Winder; his mother, Alice Grace Hall of La Porte, Indiana; his step-mother, Judy Jones of Knox, Indiana; two daughters, Katie Hall of Athens and Macayla Hall of Duluth; a step-son, Glen Perkins of Atlanta; a step-daughter, Nikki Milner of Duluth; four brothers, Rob, Corey and Chris Krueger all of Knox Indiana and Todd Satterfield of Lowell, Indiana. A sister, Pam Stockton of Moore, SC also survives. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Mincey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Association. Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA is in charge of arrangements.
