Rosa was predeceased by her parents Melton Lamar Pruett and Nellie Grace Pursley Pruett; her husband John Robert Barnes; and daughters Jennifer Carter and Amy Barnes. She is survived by her son Shane (Amy) Barnes; six grandchildren: Harleigh Patrick, Robert Shane Barnes, Jr., Madison Barnes, Mason Barnes, Tyler Oates, and Jacob Dove; brothers Larry Pruett of Athens and Chancey Pruett of Center; and sisters: Eloise Stewart, Barbara Adams, Shirley Cheatham, and Bonita Bates all of Bogart.
A memorial service for Mrs. Barnes will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Smith Memory Chapel with Pastor Larry Pruett officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be at Smith Funeral Home prior to the service, from noon until service time.
Donations in memory of Rosa Lou Barnes may be made to the Barrow County Cancer Society.
