Sonny Raymond Morgan

Mr. Morgan retired from John Mansville with the Human Recourses Department. He served the United States faithfully in the Air Force. He was a graduate of Statham High School and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Thomas Morgan and Susie Grizzle Morgan; sons, Mike and Ray Morgan; and sister, Joyce Morgan Grace.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Gloria Jean Gibson; son, Todd Morgan of Statham; stepson, Steve Coker of Jefferson and Bobby Scott of Crawford; stepdaughter, Abby Silvey of Kalamazoo, MO, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Morgan will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder with Pastor Vaughn Howington officiating. Burial will follow the graveside service. The family will be receiving friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
