

Susan Annette Hill, age 60, of Buford, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Leola and Elmer Bock. She was a 1981 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. Susan was a faithful Christian who truly loved the Lord, which was evident in her generous spirit and philanthropic endeavors. She was a talented seamstress, artist, and gardener. She loved crafting and baking with her grandchildren. Susan enjoyed camping adventures with her beloved dogs, Lucy and Frank. She loved to dance and sing country and worship music. She was a diehard Tennessee Volunteers fan.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Bock of Knoxville. She is survived by her son, William (Jordan) Hill of Monroe; daughters: Christina (Steve) Dolby of Buford, GA and Michelle (Brett) Gamblin of Athens, GA; brother, Robert (Melissa) Bock of Knoxville; sister in law, Sonja Bock of Knoxville; five grandchildren: Jack Gamblin, Audrey Gamblin, Kaitlyn Dolby, Abigail Dolby, and Violet Dolby, plus one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6PM until 8PM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 5 at 11AM in Smith Memory Chapel with Pastor Ned Davis officiating. Her burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
