Valerie Kay Leverett

Valerie was born in Toledo, Ohio. She was a devoted mother and family woman and and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. As a devoted owner and operator of Valerie's Critter Cuts, she enjoyed grooming dogs and loved all types of animals.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents Charles Wade Crider and Kay Lorrain Carter Crider. She is survived by her fiancé Kevin Grady Thompson of Winder and her children: Private Shane M. Leverett, US Army, of Winder; Jackie D. Leverett of Winder; Kaylee D. Leverett of Winder; and Abby Grace Thompson of Winder. In addition, Valerie is survived by her brothers and sisters: Charles (Cheryl) Crider of Dacula and Douglas (Shelby) Crider of Winder; Veronica Crider (William) Wynn of Winder and Brenda Crider (Jason) Brooks of Winder. She also leaves a host of nephews, a niece, and a great niece.

A memorial service for Ms. Leverett will be held at Smith Memory Chapel on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 4:00 pm., with Pastor Jonathan Flanigan officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be at Smith Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until service time on the day of the service.

The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, a love offering be made to the family at Venmo Account: Katie Arnold, @valsloveoffering to offset final expenses. All remaining proceeds will be placed into a trust account for Valerie's children.
