William "Bill" Edwin Brown, Sr.

William "Bill" Edwin Brown Sr., age 89, of Winder, GA passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Bill was born on April 6, 1936 in Vienna, GA to the late William Ira Brown and Edith Florilla Robertson Brown. He was a member of Ebenezer Church in Winder, GA. Bill was in the Navy where he served his country from 1954 to 1958. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family. When he was not with his family you could find him hunting, fishing, or gardening. More than anything he loved to tell people about His Jesus.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his children's mother Catherine Helen Porth Brown and brothers: James Brown, Joe Brown, and Buddy Brown.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Deborah Brown; children: Deborah "Debbie" Brown Henderson, William "Billy" Edwin Brown, Jr. (Kennetha Kaye Bramlett Brown), and Timothy Lee Brown (Suzette Slocum Brown); step children: Joey Brock and Stephanie Grant (Justin); grandchildren: Justin Greer (Kristi), Jessica Cash (Jamie), Casey Henderson, Christen Brown, Zach Brown (Courtney), Drew Brown (Ilene Carrick), Caitlin Kight (Brandon), and Chas Brown (Anna); great grandchildren: Dylan Cash, Kennedi Cash, Hayden Cash, Steele Long, Stryker Long, Katie Ray Brown, Austin Kight, Ivy Kight, Wyatt Kight, Waylon Kight, Peyton Brown, Harleigh Brown, Addisyn Brown, Allyana Brown, Abel Brown, and Andrew Colt Brown; step great grandchildren: Colton Grant and Callie Grant.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia 30680. The Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Smith Memory Chapel followed by a graveside service at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
