William Gartrell Garrett Sr., age 88, of Winder, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was born on August 21, 1936 to Troy and Thelma Garrett. William was a part of Winder High School class of 1954. After graduation he attended UGA and GA State College. He had a love for sports, especially golfing and football. William had a big heart for donating to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Salvation Army. He loved going fishing. William was a member of the DPMA Association. He worked for Crawford and Company as Assistant VP of the IT Department where he retired after 40 years.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, June Garrett; sisters: Sybil Ivey, Jimmie Lou Garrett, and Mildred Garrett; and brother, L.T. Garrett.
He is survived by his son Bill (Glenna) Garrett, Jr. and grandsons, Daniel Garrett and Jason Garrett.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Smith Memory Chapel on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
