William Thomas Moon

William Thomas “Tom” Moon, 73 of Bethlehem, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was a native of Mooresville, IN and a graduate of Mooresville High School. After high school, Tom served his country in the Army National Guard as a helicopter mechanic, serving in Germany during the Vietnam era. After earning his associates from Spartan Aeronautics, A&P School, Tom spent his career as an aircraft mechanic and inspector, retiring from AAR Corporation. Tom loved the Lord and was a faithful member of River Hills Church. He was a very kind guy and had a great sense of humor. He was a great carpenter that could fix anything, as well as being an avid motorcycle rider and Lego collector. He loved every minute he spent with his grandkids, Claire and JJ.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Louise Monical Moon and a sister, Patty Morgan. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara Stierwalt Moon of Bethlehem; a daughter, Corrie Sprague (Jon) of Bethlehem; brothers, Jim Moon (Judy) of Mooresville, Richard Moon of Florida and Bill Moon (Patty) of Greenwood, IN; sisters, Jo Anne Jones of Mooresville, Mary Pate of Mooresville and Janet Blackwell (Mark) of Mooresville and two grandchildren, Claire and J.J. Sprague.
