Allan Russell Clegg

Passed away peacefully on July 19, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. Loving husband and best friend of Gail. They celebrated 54 years of marriage on February 13, 2014. Wonderful father of Andrea (Bob) Bodchon, Robin (Gary) Williams, and Tim (Sondra) Clegg. Cherished Gramps and Old Crack Face to Brendan, Kevin, Maxwell, Lauren, Caitlin, and Danielle. Great-Grandpa to Donovan. Predeceased by his sister Joan and brother Tom. Survived by siblings, David, Barbara, Wendy, Leslie, Paul, Anne and Eva. Brother-in-law of Bill (Linda) Stephenson. He will also be missed by many friends and Reedmere neighbours. Allan was a 35 year employee of Ford Motor Company, past Secretary Treasurer of the Windsor Yacht Club, instructor of Windsor Power Squadron, past member of Essex Kent Scottish Rifles, Scarlet Brigade Marching Band booster parent, handyman extraordinaire, furniture builder, and had a passion for restoring wooden boats. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Anglican Church on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Anglican Churchyard. Arrangements entrusted to Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (519-252-5711). Donations in memory of Allan may be made to the Transition to Betterness at Malden Park or to the In Your Jeans fund at Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre.
