February 14, 1938 - January 4, 2018 His life began on a very cold Saskatchewan night in the town of Tisdale. Born to Moss and Emma (Marxen) on Valentine's Day, he was a beautiful, blond haired, fair skinned, blue eyed baby. At the age of three, he and his mother travelled by train to meet his father who had found work at Ford Motor Company in Windsor, Ontario. Regardless of the move, dad always took great pride in his Saskatchewan roots. He attended John Campbell Elementary School followed by W.D. Lowe Secondary School, and then went on to find employment in both Windsor and Detroit in the tool and die and mould making trades over a period of 48 years. He was very smart and well respected on the job. In 1960, a beautiful young woman, Wilma, who worked with him at Banner Metal caught his eye. They had their first date in January, were engaged in March, and married in June. Burt and Wilma were smitten with one another and theirs was a fairy tale love story. He took care of and loved his family first. Hockey was his second love. Burton is survived by Wilma (nee Schanta), his dear and loving wife of 57 years. Burton Dauncey Jr. and Michele (Sara and Meghan), Lore Ann and Allen Pervin (Erin and Sean), Duane Dauncey and Sonia (Ethan and Tate), Rudy Dauncey and Kristine (Hannah), Monica Sansotta and Filippo (Eva), and Tina Woloszyn and Mark (Nigel and Maisy). He also leaves behind a sister, Jean Popiel (John) and a brother, Barry Dauncey (Erika) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Very special thanks to Gary Dearsley for all the support he has provided to our family. We will miss you always and remember your love forever. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Walter D Kelly Life Celebration Centre 1969 Wyandotte St. E. Windsor (519)252-5711. Condolences received at www.walterdkellyfuneralhome.com
