Dad one day you were there next you were gone I can't stop thinking of you. Some days I just wish I could Have you back but God has promised me I will see you again so until then enjoy the large house and come and visit.

Dear Geoff and the entire Matthew's family,
Our family knew Charlie from the Villages of Riverside, when he and my father used to car pool together to Chrysler. Then he started spending many days at our house for dinners. He shared lots of stories and conversions with our family about the assembly line and his proud loving family. His humor and smiles helped my family through my dad's(Ivan) funeral in 1996. We've only seen him two more times after that, shopping at the grocery stores. He will be fondly remembered as a good friend but will be very sadly missed by my entire family. The loss of losing one's parent never goes away but the loving memories that are left behind helps make the pain easier in the days ahead. My sincerest condolences.  I knew Charlie through his friendship with my family and in particular Paul Findlay. I remember fondly their escapades in the neighbourhood, in particular their delight when skating on River Canard.  They came to visit and stayed with us in Ottawa one year.  I last saw him at my grandmother's funeral in Windsor a few years ago.  It was also comforting to see him when Paul passed away. What a lovely and kind person he was.  I am truly sorry for your loss.

Very sorry to hear of your loss Melissa. My sympathies go out to you and your family. I have known Charlie or as I know him as Sonny since 1955. We enjoyed doing crazy things in the Wellington, Elm and Oak Streets of Windsor. Sonny was always a very quiet, shy and loyal friend. He certainly helped me deliver my newspapers on Oak St. for many years. The last time I saw him was in 2001 at my mothers funeral. Loyal to the end. We certainly will miss his shy smile. I've known Charlie almost half of my life.  He was the type of person who made you feel welcome in his home and in his family without question.  He was like a second father to me in many ways.  His quiet spirit made him the man he was.  Although he was a quiet man he spoke volumes in the love he showed his entire family and those he cared about and had the honour to call him friend.  Charlie or Grandpa Charlie as my girls call him will always be carried in my heart and my memories.  We love you and you will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Thinking of you and praying that God give you strength in these difficult times.
