Passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2017. Loving mother of John Borders (Sandy). Cherished grandmother of Jonathan Borders (Mina) and Carla Borders. Great grandmother of Hayden. Claire’s early career was in the United States as a journalist. She then returned home to teach English at Herman High School for many years. Upon retirement Claire continued her lifelong journey of learning by taking University courses and travelling. This independent women travelled throughout Europe and made annual trips to visit her family in Hawaii. The family appreciates the care Village of St. Claire Staff gave to Claire during her time there. Visiting will be held at the Walter D Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E Windsor) on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 6-8pm. Visiting will resume on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 10am until time of service at 11am in the funeral homes chapel followed by internment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
