Passed away peacefully on December 21, 2014 surrounded by her family at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late Mannie “Earl” Long (2002). Dearest daughter of the late Charles (1998) and Jessie (2010) Cheshire. Wonderful mom to the late Penny Campbell (2003) (Scott), Scott Hitchins (Colleen), Michael Long (Laura, 2006), and Shawn Long. Special Gram to Courtney Campbell, Ian and Kyrié Long. Dear sister of Gordon (2011), Ronald (1938), Keith (Gwenda), and Larry (Doreen). Beloved niece of Thelma Fitter. Long time best friend of Maxine Shelley, Marie Green, and Bernice Stieler. Longtime member of Olivet Baptist Church and more recently Campbell Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E.) on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Visiting will continue on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 9:30 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Hospice of Windsor.
