Survived by her much loved children Tom and daughter-in-law Patti (Wilson); Anne; and Jim and partner Trish Buwalda; her grandchildren Erin and husband Rob James; Alex McKusick; and Iain and Malcolm Harding; her step grandchildren Courtenay and Casey Montambault; her great-grandson Hunter James; her niece Elizabeth Keller, great nieces Erika (and Ryan) O'Neal and Tara (and Scott) Hale & their children Samantha and Madison; her cousins Betty June Long and Bud Dalrymple. Special people in her life were Hal and Nancy Bolton, Jan Bolton, Gary Montambault, Cathy McCallum, Gwynne Baker, Louise Brown, Meghan Balmer, and Scott McKusick. Betty worked for many years at the Ford Motor Company where she met and married David Harding. She stayed home for many years to raise a family and later worked for the Art Gallery of Windsor. For many decades she drove cancer patients to and from their treatments and she volunteered well into her 80s delivering Meals on Wheels to the elderly. Betty was a perfect example that you're never too old to learn, grow and change your outlook on life. She endured difficult times with grace and humility and made the world a brighter place for all who knew her. Betty could be counted on to help her friends and relatives in times of difficulty and was sure to deliver a perfectly baked apple crisp at just the right time when someone needed to be cheered up. She was grateful every day for the help of Gwynne Baker, Cathy McCallum and Liz Keller for the on-going support that helped her stay in her apartment to the end of her life. At mom's request there is to be no visitation.Cremation has taken place – just remember her with love and a smile. There will be a celebration of her life at some time in the future and an announcement will be made when the details are finalized. We hope you will share your memories with us at that time. If you so desire donations should be made to Salvation Army, Hospice or other charity of your choice.
