Gene Stanley Vachon

66 years. With Angels by his side, Gene’s family are saddened to announce his passing on Monday, December 6, 2010, to be reunited with his most loving parents, Herman (1977) and Ida (2001) who are waiting for him with open arms. Gene will be sadly missed by his beloved wife and best friend of 46 years, Therese. Beloved father of Leah, Gene Jr. of B.C., Christopher & partner Cheryl, Robyn Deziel & her husband John of B.C. Most cherished Pipi to his granddaughters Krystle, Ashley, Jessica, Victoria, Taylor & Jordyn. Loving Grand-Pipi of Dakota, Brianna & Kyliee. Best buddy of Bossco, who never left his side. Loving brother of Joyce Bennett & her husband Bill, Lawrence of B.C., Denis & his wife Penny, Paul & his wife Christina, Victor & his partner Darlene, Denise Scherb & her husband Jim, Douglas & his wife Mary Ann, Annette Thompson & her husband Mike. Dearest brother-in-law of Lloyd & Cassie Charette, Elaine & Ted Bachmeier and Gloria McBride. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gene was a long-time member of R.C.L. Branch #12. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue, (519) 254-3223 on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Anderson Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. To honour Gene’s dedication to see that no one went hungry, a donation to the local Food Bank of your choice or to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
