89 Years. Passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at LHSC University Campus. Beloved husband of the late Edna (nee Douglas)(1984). Dear brother of Margaret “Margie” Bennett of Chatham. Special friend of June Dupuis of Windsor. Stepfather of Eleanor Hanson, Skip Dupuis & his wife Donna and Rodd Dupuis. Dear uncle of Michael, Robert and Brian Bennett and Jayme Boyce. George served with the R.C.A.F in England during WWII, and became a P.O.W. interned in Germany for 1 ½ years until the war ended. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee Funeral Service at 3 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather at Victoria Memorial Gardens, Hwy #3, Tecumseh on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for the Committal Service. If desired, memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
