Passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Shirley for 57 years. Dear and loving father of Cathie Etzl (Tim) and Mary Solcz (Mark). Proud Grandpa of Katie, Jessica, Christopher and Michael. Jim will be sadly missed by his dear friend Pat. Also by his favorite feline friend "Smokey". Special thanks to PSWs Laurie, Samara, Natalie and Ravi and to nurses Lacey and Melissa. Jim retired from the Windsor Essex Public School Board of Education after many years of service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E.) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Friday and again onSaturday, February 22, 2014 at St. George's Anglican Church (1949 Devonshire Ct.) from 10:30 am until the time of Memorial Mass which will be held at 11:00 am. Donations to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or St. George's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
