Born January 27, 1927, died August 1, 2013 at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital. Survived by sons Peter (Carol, nee Mingay) of Powell River, B.C. and Ian (Barbara Bondy, Alabama) of Windsor, sister Nancy White of Collingwood, Ontario; sister-in-law Barbara Sansburn of Harrow; grandchildren Jill (Lindsay) Bernakevitch of Richmond, B.C. and Ben (Eliana) Sansburn of Lakewood, Washington; and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Sansburn, parents Arthur and Dorothy Gammon. Janet was a dedicated elementary school teacher who retired in 1987. A private service was held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to the attending physicians and nurses at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Janet.
