John Carl Fairthorne

J. Carl Fairthorne passed away peacefully July 3, 2016 at the age of 79. Survived by his wife Madeleine Fairthorne and by his daughter Mary Ann (Paul Ducedre) as well as his siblings Gary (Judy) and Bonnie Fairthorne and by his sister- in-law Jacqueline Logier. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Murray and Ethel Fairthorne and sister Jeannie Webster. He was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason (past active) and active in many Masonic bodies. He was a member of the Royal Order of Scotland and founding member and Executive Governor of the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Learning Centre of Windsor and past president of the Mocha Shrine Club. He was also a member of Probus. Visitation will take place Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E. Windsor. 519-252-5711), with a Masonic Service being held at 7:30pm under the auspices of Border Cities Daylight Lodge. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11am at the funeral home followed by internment at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Carl's name can be made to St. George's Anglican Church or to the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Learning Centre of Windsor.
