Margaret Muir McKean Rankin

In her 87th, year, Margaret has gone to be with her Lord. Predeceased by her parents Ivie and Mary, and her sister Irene (2000) and brother-in-law Ed Parent (1989). Loving Aunt of Mary Edna Hunter (Mike), Margaret Fulton, Joann Ferguson (Gord). Great Aunt to Rob, Kathy, Wendy and Charlene. Great “Grape” to Paul, Emily, Lauren, Jonathan, Briana, Christopher, Samantha, Jocelyn, Adam and Juliana. Born in Windsor, Margaret moved to Toronto in 1939, graduated from The Toronto Bible College, worked for several years for the Sudan Interior Missions and for many many years as an executive secretary at the Greater Toronto Boy Scouts until her retirement. She served for 35 years as a Sunday school superintendant while in Toronto. On her retirement, she returned to Windsor and became an active member of Temple Baptist Church until it closed, then joined Banwell Community Church. The family will be receiving guests Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Walter D Kelly Funeral Home, 1969 Wyandotte Street East, Windsor 519-252-5711 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A celebration of Margaret’s life will take place at The Banwell Community Church, 2400 Banwell Road, Tecumseh on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to a children’s charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
