DIXON, Mary Euphemia (nee Darrach) 90 years, peacefully in her sleep on March 10, 2013. Loving mother to Virginianne. Dear sister to Anne Darrach. Predeceased by her brothers Colin, Hugh, Oswald and Orman Darrach and by her sisters Jane MacWilliams, Bernice Greinke and Betty Callander. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in both Canada and the United States. My Mom, the restless adventurer from PEI who experienced the world and its variety of people with a love of our unique differences, whether; hitchhiking all of Europe; diving the reefs off Papua New Guinea, exploring the caves and outback of Australia and New Zealand ; training horses on Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville Georgia; backpacking the mountain trails of Shimla India; sailing the rivers of Guilin China; a citizen of Belize C.A., to mention but a few. A life well lived. In keeping with Mary’s wishes , cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at a later date. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Windsor & Essex County Humane Society.
