We are so sorry that we were out of the country and did not hear of Meta's passing until recently.  We both have many memories of Meta and her God given talents at the Church together with our individual memories for Betty when Meta moved to town and lived across the alley from my childhood home.  I was just 4 or 5 years old but remember admiring Meta especially when she picked my sister Mary (deceased 2003)up for Choir rehersal.  I thought she was quite classey and she stayed that way until the last journey.  For Gary his memories of her are playing the organ at our weddding in 1966 and again at our daughter's wedding in 2000.  Gary also had special memories of Meta from Chrysler in the Administration Building of Chrysler Canada.  As always she was a sophisticated, elegant woman who fit in so well anywhere, especially "mahogany row" where she worked.  Meta would tease Gary and I that it was our job to cater her wedding.  We will miss you Meta.  Trinity will never be the same without you.   Betty and Gary Owen

My love and sincere condolences to all family members and friends on Meta's passing. Let's all find ways of keeping memory alive for Meta's sake and our own. Meta playing and singing "Autumn Leaves" is one of my most poignant and delightful.

Our family was very close to Meta and our Trinity friends for the past 63 years.  We loved her dearly - she was part of what made us, us.  Her deep faith, her sparkle, her love and wit, and her music will never be forgotten.  She encouraged me throughout all of those years, and I now sit on the organ bench beside her.  She will always be there.

My deepest condolences to Meta's family and friends. Meta was a wonderful lady. I got to know Meta while working at the Waterpark Condos where she lived. She had a great sense of humour. You will be missed.

When our first daughter was born in 1973 in Deep River,  Meta visited us and her gift was Melissa's first doll and a Detroit Tigers' lollipop.  I remember my Mom always speaking so highly of Meta and I remember Meta's visit vividly.  I was touched by Meta's friendliness, warmth and enthusiasm.  I just realized Meta and my Mom were virtually soul mates, born 2 weeks apart in March 1923.  Meta was the kind of individual whose warmth and kindness one never forgets even though the encounter was brief and a long time ago

Meta and I were friends at work dating back to the early 1940's. Meta was a loving understanding lady who never seemed to have a bad day, always friendly with a wonderful smile and a great attitude
We both retired many moons ago but did meet a couple of years ago and the talk and laughs of the good old times will always be remembered.

My great aunt Meta was an inspirational woman who lived a very full life.  I loved to hear about her travels and her work, and her passion for music. I am so pleased that my children were able to get to know her as we had our annual visit at the Mink Lake cottage.

Meta gave me the bible Good News For Modern Men in the 70's I had a chance to tell her how influential she was in my spiritual growth at Trinity anniversary last year. I sang in the choir under her direction and I loved how she would not allow us to sing words we did not understand. Always an encourager!
