Roger, although a few years has passed since we spoke I am saddened by this news. I will always have special memories of you. There were good times and there were bad times, but there were some unforgettable moments that will far outweigh the bad. You were in my life for nearly ten years. You were there when my first born son arrived into the world, which happens to be today, 5 years ago. You cried as you held him. You were his 'bapa' and he loved you as you loved him. I am grateful for that, and I thank you for the time and compassion we shared throughout the years. You will be missed and never forgotten.

One last conversation
What would I say?
Thank you for what you have given me.
I hold this in my heart.
You were there for me in my time of need.
You gave me a sense of security as a child.
You comforted me at my time of sorrow.
I knew I was safe in your care.
You taught me how to fish and hunt.
You taught me to be responsible.
You gave me peace at heart in turbulent times, and assured me it would all be okay.
You and Nina were there for me Uncle Roger.
You didn't have to take on the job, but you did.
I thank God he put you both in my life.
No matter what time has done, what circumstances have occurred, I loved you dearly.
Only the good memories will remain.
The laughter, the kidding, the big fish stories.
The midnight mass on Christmas Eve.
The family gatherings and projects.
The camping, swimming, BBQ's and entertaining my friends.
Keeping stray dogs we brought home.
Skating on Ojibway pond.
And lots of fishing.
That was home, Thank you.
One last conversation.
What would I say?
These things were never said.

Remembering the younger years Rog, you were always there to lend a helping hand.I have to giggle when remembering our Long Point trip, the fun we had or when you and mom would go back and forth with your talking French and how you laughed or our trip to Montreal, boy were we lost. I will always treasure the Beautiful Frame you made for me for my "Divine Mercy" picture.  It hangs on the wall in my Living Room and everytime I look up at the picture, I think of You.

Uncle Rog, remembering the good old days of hunting and fishing together. You taught me how to shoot a bow, hold and fire a gun and enjoy the outdoors as you did. Camping and traveling was also another joy that you shared with me and my family. Then there were the days that we were ushers together at St. Alphonsus Church. That was priceless. All of these memories will remain treasures in my heart forever. I love you Uncle Rog and I thank you.

In 1965 you and I were married. We were both so, so young, but we had many good years. I wll never forget our fishing days, which we loved so much. You even took me hunting on occasions, but I soon came to realize that I wasn't the best hunting partner. So many memories Rog,I will treasure them forever. There will always be a special place in my heart for you. Till we meet again. Rest in peace
