Urooj Akhtar Zaidi

Dr. Urooj Akhtar Zaidi, a prolific poet and respected educator, 79 years old, of Windsor, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly at home on the early morning of March 8th, 2021. Urooj leaves behind his wife of almost 50 years, Shabana Zaidi, his three children, Aliya, Arshia and Ahmar (Rumi), their spouses, Muneer, Fawad and Yusra, his grandchildren Eruj, Furzaan, Zoha, Zara and Azlaan, hissiblings Meher, Shamim, Sayeed, Javed, Tanweer andAdeel and their respective spouses Khursheed, Samana, Nasreen, Mehdi and Firdous. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews. It would prove futile to

accurately capture and include all the individuals who knew and loved our father. He has left an unfillable void in our life and will be missed dearly.
