Born June 26, 1920, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2013 at the age of 93 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Edward “Ted” Knigt (1989). Predeceased by her two sons Earl Kavanaugh (2013) and Kirk Knight (1980). Loving mother of son; Bob Kavanaugh (the late Karen, 2006), daughter-in-law; Sandy Kavanaugh, daughter; Cheryl St. Pierre (Rick), and son; Reg Knight (Barbara). Loving Grandma to many grandchildren and G.G. to her great-grandchildren. A special thank you goes out to the staff at Heron Terrace (Shallows Lane), the nurses and doctors of Renal Dialysis, and the nurses and doctors of 2 North at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Virginia was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12, Ladies Auxillary for 54 years. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Windsor & Essex Cancer Centre Foundation. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted to Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre.
