Alma Hess

Alma was predeceased by her loving husband, Erwin on May 8, 1996. She is survived by her son Harry and one remaining sister, Hilda. She will also be lovingly remembered and missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Alma was born on September 8, 1925 in Lukashof, Germany. She was married to Erwin on August 2, 1952 in Luneburg and they immigrated to Canada in 1953.

She first became employed by TCA in Winnipeg. In 1958 she became a stay at home mom to Harry. Together with her husband they formed Accurate Concrete and she managed the office until the passing of her husband.

Alma spent many happy summers with her family at their cottage in Balsam Harbor. She also enjoyed baking, gardening and entertaining family and friends.

Family viewing will be on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 5:00 pm. The service will be held at Klassen Funeral Home on August 24, 2015 at 10:00am. Private viewing for family will be from 9:00-9:30, with public viewing to follow. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
