Anne Blanchard

Anne Blanchard (nee Kuzyk) passed away peacefully on September 9, 2013.

Anne was born on July 12, 1912 in Glenella, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in the early forties where she spent much of her working life waitressing at the Paddock Restaurant, a job she remembered fondly.

Anne was predeceased by her son Richard, parents Steve & Polly Kuzyk, sisters Kay, Mary, Jean, Pearl, Sylvia, Ollie and brothers John and Henry.

She will be missed by her remaining siblings, Evelyn, Milly, Sally, Alex, Tom, Peter and Jerry.

Also left to mourn her passing are daughter-in-law Janet, granddaughter Tammi, and grandchildren Danika and Lucas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Anne firmly believed in the Bibles promise of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29) and the time when “no resident will say “I am sick” “ (Isaiah 33:24)

The family would like to thank the fourth floor staff of the Lions Manor Personal Care Centre, 320 Sherbrook St. for their excellent care & concern for Anne’s welfare.

Cremation has taken place and out of respect for Anne’s wishes no memorial service will be held.
