It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Ann Jarvie on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the age of 97 with family by her side.
Ann will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Edward (Gerlinde) Jarvie, Linda (Jack) Anderson, Ken (Joan) Jarvie and Carol Jarvie; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Wiebe and brothers Jake (Colleen), Cornie and George (Shirley) Friesen, sisters-in-law Elsie Friesen and Lillian Friesen, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Charles Jarvie, parents Daniel and Anna Friesen, sister Kay (Willie) Dalhberg, brothers John and Peter Friesen, sisters-in-law Betty Friesen and Sandy Friesen and brother-in-law Neil Wiebe.
Ann was born in Gretna, MB on October 1, 1928 and moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Charles Jarvie on December 13, 1946 and they raised 4 children. Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved her plants and flower garden and truly had a green thumb. Ann made beautiful quilts - for each child, grandchild and great-grandchild and other family members; they are greatly treasured. She also gave quilts to those in need and donated several to charitable organizations. Ann was able to live independently in her home until the last 3 weeks of her life.
As per her request, there will be no funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The War Amps – Manitoba, PO Box 728 Stn Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2K3.
The family wishes to thank the first responders and medical staff at the Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion.
