Remembered With Love

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Beverley Jacqueline Jones, who died peacefully on September 22, 2025, at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, surrounded by her family. She was 86.

Born and raised in Elmwood, Winnipeg, Bev was the daughter of Jack and Anne Jonatschuk. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Len Jones (2011), her brother Kenneth, and her parents. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Rory Jones and Dean (Cheryl) Jones; her grandchildren Angela, Emily (Paul), Laury, Matthew, and Connor; and her great-grandchildren Decker and Nora. Bev is also survived by her brothers Donny and Gary, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Bev and Len’s love story began 63 years ago at Public Press Limited, where they met and soon after married. Together they built a beautiful life, raising their boys and sharing over 60 summers at the family cottage, originally built by her father, where countless apple pies were baked and memories made.

Bev spent 30 years working at Chateau Lanes, where she made hundreds of lifelong friends. She loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, and enjoyed bowling, golf, cards, Yahtzee, knitting, and quilting. She really enjoyed her casino days with Doreen and her amazing visits with her good friend Annette and Russ and his family. Above all, Bev adored her family. She made sure each grandchild knew the depth of her love and left behind traditions and memories that will be cherished forever.

A private family celebration of Beverley’s life will be held at Grand Marais St Jude Anglican Church & Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their care and compassion.

Beverley will be remembered for her warmth, humour, and the love she so freely gave to all who knew her. She always, without exception, told everyone that she loved them… right until her final hours. We love you mom.
