Forever In Our Hearts

Colleen passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sept 10, 2024, at 75 years of age. Colleen will be lovingly remembered by her children Kelly (Carmen), Tracy (Dean) and Dale (Tracey) and her grandchildren Kegan, Holly, Audrey and Spencer; as well as by her sisters Sherry, Carol and Bonnie; her in-laws Lynne, Randy, and Janette; numerous nieces and nephews and good pal, Bob.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Wayne, as well as her parents Colin and Eileen and her brother, Robin.

Colleen was born and raised in Winnipeg, but loved her summers at her grandparents' place in Gladstone, MB. She met the love of her life, Wayne, in Gladstone when she was 18, and it was love at first sight. They were married 3 years later in 1970 and were blessed with 3 children before settling into their family home in St. Norbert in 1981, where they stayed until shortly before Wayne’s passing in 2012.

During her teenage years, she worked as an usher at the Park Theatre, which she always thought of with fond memories.

She was a proud Licensed Practical Nurse for many years, working in labor and delivery and long-term care, ending her career at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home.

Colleen loved to travel and was fortunate to enjoy a number of cruises before her health began to deteriorate. She loved trips to the casino, bingo, reading, movies and the holidays, but her pride and joy was her 4 grandchildren. She lit up when they were around and always wanted to hear their stories about their lives. She will be missed by all who knew her smiling face, but mostly by her beloved cat and companion, Toby.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Hemodialysis

and ICU.

Donations may be made in Colleen’s memory to the Kidney Foundation or Winnipeg Humane Society.
