Daryl’s loving wife Vicky Tougher, mother Judith Tougher, father Gary Tougher, daughter Sarah Tougher and his sister Shannon Bowden, and their families, are devastated by his unexpected death this week and will miss him terribly. He was very excited about the arrival of his first grandchild, due any day. We are all so glad we spent time together over Christmas and that Sarah visited with her dad just the day before.
Daryl worked for many years in the grain trade, initially as a Grain Trader and in the last several years as a Commodities Market Analyst. His passions were his family, music and hockey. As a small child, he danced to music whenever he heard it, then took piano and guitar lessons for years as a boy. He spent hours listening to music online, sharing his latest find with his family by email, and in the past few years bought a couple of guitars and “noodled” on them. He loved going to concerts with Vicky or his buddy, Wayne. Daryl played goalie from a young age until his teens; as an adult he helped his dad coach AAA teams and continued to enthusiastically follow hockey, especially the Jets.
Cremation has taken place and his family and friends will have a celebration of his life in the spring.
