David was born in Steinbach, Manitoba, and lived most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked in the packing plant industry for many years. He was known for his love of family and friends and his sense of humor.
He is survived by his brother Ben (Anne), sisters Esther and Sarah, ex-wife Elaine, children Kelvin (Liana), Candace, grandchildren Dylan (Athena), Vanessa (Joey), and Cheyenne (Robert).
David was predeceased by his brothers Peter, Jac, John, and Abraham.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17th, at 10:00 am, at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg.
