

Domenico was predeceased by his parents Filippo and Letizia; brothers Francesco, Giuseppe and Silvio; sisters Maria, Rosaria and Rosina; and sister-in-law Nina. He will be sadly missed by his wife Maria of 58 years; son Phillip (Rose), daughter Letizia (Frank) and grandchildren Maria (Nicholas), Dominic, Lucas and Juliana. He also leaves behind his sister Concetta (Angelo) and sisters-in-law Lina (Bruno), Anna Maria (Pasquale), Vittoria (Brian), brother-in-law Pietro and all his numerous nieces and nephews.
Domenico was born in S’Mango D’aquino, Italy and immigrated to Canada with his wife and son in 1964 where they started a new life and added to their family with the birth of their daughter in 1965. Dad worked at Canadian Tool and Die as a machinist and he retired at the age of 58.
Dad and mom spent many years travelling to Mexico and enjoying their time together. They had a special bond as partners in life and love.
Dad had a passion for wine making and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Dad was a loving, fun, and kind soul who cherished his grandchildren and spent quality time with all of his friends and family.
Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, March 18 at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano as the Celebrant. Viewing and condolences will begin at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow Mass at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, Waverley Memorial Gardens 1501 Waverley Street.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Dominic Colosimo, Lucas Delgrosso, Nicholas Differ and nephews Frank Manfredi, Pasquale Cuda and Carmine Puteri.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at the Simkin Centre where dad spent a year in their care and Victoria General Hospital for all their loving care.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Domenico’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
