With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Robert Quinn, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a man of immense strength, unwavering resilience and boundless love.
Throughout his illness, Don faced every challenge with a quiet dignity and determination, never letting his diagnosis define him. His spirit remained unbroken, and his love for his family and friends never wavered. He fought until the very end, showing us all what true bravery looks like.
Don was a man who cherished time spent with family and friends, particularly at his beloved cabin. It was there, surrounded by nature, laughter, and the people he loved most that he created lasting memories that will be carried on forever. Whether telling stories at the kitchen table or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, the cabin was a special place where his joy was most evident.
Don is survived by his wife Charlene; son Jason (Cheyanne), granddaughters Parker and Ryleigh, sister Diane (Paul), sister-in-law Sue (Gord), along with many nieces, nephew and great friends. He now joins his father Gordon, mother Doris and brother Gordon Quinn. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance will live on in each of us.
A Celebration of Life to honor Don, will be held on September 18th, at the Norwood Legion, 134 Marion St. from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to CancerCare Manitoba in his memory.
We will always carry him in our hearts, and his love will continue to guide us as we move forward. Rest in peace Don. You fought with grace, and you will be deeply missed.
