Eileen Joyce (nee Boitson) Ledger

Eileen was born & raised in Komarno. After moving to Winnipeg she worked as an accounting clerk at the Canadian Wheat Board, where she developed lasting friendships with a couple of her co-workers. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, gardening, feeding the birds, bunnies and all the dogs that walked by. She took great pride in her gardens and many people stopped to admire them. Some of her happiest days were spent at Solmondson’s Greenhouse in Wpg Beach where a tree will be planted in her memory. Eileen will be greatly missed by everyone that had gotten to know her.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Cindy (Gerry) Fenske, son Nick, grandchildren Steven Fenske, Janine Fenske (Mel), her sisters Phyllis (Ray) Colbert, Emily Boitson Murray & Margaret Thomas, friend and companion Alf Fetterly, Sisters-in-law Vivian (Art) Colbert, Marg Lajeunesse, Carol (Ken) Hadaller, nieces and nephews, Kelly, Kristin, Brenda, Jason, Gary, Jeff, Scott, Cory, great nieces and nephews Joshua, Branden, Ashley, Shelby and Becky.

Predeceased by her parents Mike & Rose Boitson, John Ledger (father of Cindy & Nick), father & mother in-law Peter & Anne Ledger, brothers-in-law Ed Thomas & Mike Ledger.

In keeping with Eileen’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no service.
