Ellen Kidd

Peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital my dearly beloved Mother passed away on April 13, 2011 at the age of 95 years, and 4 months, of St. Clements, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Andrew of 63 years in 1997.

Ellen (nee Pollitt) Kidd, born in Derbyshire, England on Dec. 26, 1915, came to Canada at 2 years after her father was killed at Vimy Ridge WW1.

Survived by her only daughter Ellen Patricia of St. Clements, Manitoba and her precious family of Star, Midnight and Tiffany who she loved dearly.

Loved very much her faithful Pomeranians, Rough Collies and German Shepherds, always proud of their numerous awards and titles won at dog shows. Always grieved the loss of our white Collie Devon in 2007.

Member of the International White Collie Club, Canadian Kennel Club and Fort Garry Horse Association. Past member of Manitoba Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Club, Pomeranian Club of Canada, German Shepherd Dog Club, St. Andrews kennel Club and Gateway Obedience Club.

Thank-you to our very special friend Dr. Gordon Goodridge for the eulogy and to the pallbearers Brian Hawcroft, Gary Howard, Barry Rochelle, Clarence Reimer, Jackie Rochelle and Hans Van Den Hewel.

Service was held on April 29, 2011 with Padre Gordon Shields officiating.
