Eva came to Canada from Hungary with her brother Josef in 1957 leaving behind bothers and sisters. Eva was very proud of her Hungarian heritage.
She is survived by her loving husband Germain (Gerry) Maguet and his children Elise, Marc (Lynn), Raymond (Wendy), Gerald (Sally) and Diane. Through these children, Eva and Gerry were blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her grandson Jared Debreczeni and his mother Kim.
Also left behind to mourn is Alexander Debreczeni.
Eva is predeceased by her grandson Ryan and son Robert.
Eva worked at Victoria Hospital for many years and after retirement she and Gerry enjoyed many trips around the world.
She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and doing puzzles always wanting to keep her mind active. She excelled at hosting family holiday dinners. Everyone waited anxiously for her chicken soup and we all had our own favourite dishes that she would prepare.
A family and friends gathering was held at Holy Rosary Church with Father Sam Argenziano officiating.
Eva will be dearly missed.
