As the story goes, Frank was born in a snowbank on route to Portage La Prairie, MB some 92 years ago. And in true Frank style he peacefully passed away on a blustery Sunday morning of February 24 2019. It was a gust of Manitoban winter wind that gave us this gift, and that is how he left.
Frank leaves to mourn his children, Shelley Dueck & Debra Ward, along with his grandchildren, Pete, Elie and Matthew Dueck and the many people who have been touched by his stories throughout his life.
He is preceded by both of his wives K. Gail (McManus) Ward 1944 – 1989, and later Hazel (Whitman) Ward, 1925 – 2011.
A special thanks to the caring and professional medical staff at Riverview Health Center. They made this difficult transition for dad, more comfortable for us all.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. We invite you to join us, reflect and share your favorite story of Frank’s many lives. A private family internment will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frank’s name may be made to Riverview Palliative Care Wing or CancerCare.
