

Isabella Christie passed unexpectedly on August 13 at Kildonan Care Home. Born June 4, 1927. She celebrated a jovial 97th birthday this past June, attended by friends and family.
She is predeceased by her parents David and Isa, as well as her younger siblings Jean Kresko, Shirley Anderson, & Dave Christie. There are too many relations to name, but she will be missed by sister-in-law Noreen Christie; nieces Cathy Hatch, Lisa Huggins, Lee Kear, Wendy Basic, Jenny Christie and nephews Greg Kresko, Paul Kresko, Garth Anderson, John Anderson & Curtis Christie.
Isabella had a happy childhood on Fleming Avenue. She was proud of working for the Navy in their Code department during the forties in Ottawa. She worked for Northern Electric for several years, then in 1953 went to the University of Manitoba and studied education, then later in the seventies, film.
She worked as a court reporter from approx. 1960-80, travelling to Churchill and Hong Kong for work.
She was always a curious person, with wide interests in history, art, architecture, nutrition, literature, and travel.
Isabella was a lifelong member of the WAG, an avid newspaper reader and supporter of the Arts.
She lived many years at the Brussells apartments on Lilac where she maintained friendships for many decades until her passing.
Cremation has occurred and interment will be with her family at Waverley Memorial Gardens 1501 Waverley.

A Celebration of Life is to be held in the future.
