J. Brian Trump
November 3, 1940 – April 3, 2023.
On April 3, 2023 our Dad, Grampa and friend passed away peacefully at 82 years of age after a long battle with Dementia. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children Doug Trump (Andrea), Kerry Lee and Jackie Trump, grandchildren Hudson, Justyna, Myles, Kylie, Nils, Soren and Anders and brother Melvin Trump. Brian was predeceased by his wife Joan Trump and brother Douglas Trump.
Brian was born on November 3, 1940 in Carmen, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in his teens. Brian received a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Manitoba and worked for the Winnipeg School Division as a high school teacher and a consultant. In 1978, Brian shifted careers where he travelled to various countries performing management consulting work for non-profit organizations. Through these years, Brian shared his love for travel and appreciation for different cultures with his wife, Joan and his three children.
In retirement, Brian enjoyed playing golf and travelling to Texas for the winter months, where he made many new friends as well as reconnected with old friends and family. Brian loved to go to Bomber games, go camping, tell stories, play games, make pizza and share a crossword puzzle or two with those he loved. He was a gentle, insightful soul who loved to learn and share knowledge.
