Joseph Chik Kwan Li

It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Joseph Li on June 28th, 2022 at the age 82.

He will be lovingly remembered for his passing by spouse Ivy Li; children Colin Li (Diane Liu) and Gordon Li (Angela Chan); grandchild Isaac Li; siblings Grace Li (Wilson Lam), Berchmans Loh; nieces and nephews Marie Loh, Bernard Loh, Antonia Lam, and Eunice Lam.

Joseph was predeceased by his father Kwong Hoi Lee; Mother Pui Ying Lee; Sister Christine Loh (surviving husband Berchmans Loh) and Wing Hin Lee.

Joseph met Ivy when they were in grade 6, and have built a lifetime of memories to cherish. He started his family with wife and two sons in Hong Kong. They immigrated to Winnipeg in 1976. Joseph established Li Grocery in Elmwood and served the community for 13 years. In retirement, Joseph and Ivy traveled, and enjoyed time with son’s families. Equally fulfilling is the time they got to spend with a wonderful group of friends in Winnipeg. The morning walks at St. Vital mall, having coffee chats, outings to explore places. Joseph treasured his time with family and friends and is already missed by all.

A come and go visitation will be held on Sunday, July 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
