Katherine will be deeply missed by her spouse Darrin Fiske, daughters Kendra (Niclas) and Leslie (Sebastian), granddaughter Quinn, parents Ceone and Jack Martin, brothers Jim (Donalee) and Steve, nephews Nolan and Adrian, many brother in-laws, sister in-laws and nieces and nephews, and her many friends and coworkers.
Katherine was born and raised in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Her early years were spent playing outside with her friends and brothers. As a young teen Katherine joined rhythmic gymnastics which she loved, even getting the opportunity to travel to Germany to perform with her team.
Esterhazy is where she met her high-school sweetheart, Darrin. At nineteen years old, Katherine and Darrin moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where they raised their daughters Kendra and Leslie. Katherine was a kind and caring person who dedicated much of her time to her family, friends, and the children she worked with as an Educational Assistant.
She was an avid music lover and a twenty plus year volunteer at the Winnipeg Folk Festival where she would bring Kendra and Leslie every year, a place that is very special to the three of them.
Katherine will be remembered for her joy for life, her beautiful smile, her goofiness, and her love for others.
