The family sadly announces the passing of Luigi Martone of Winnipeg, MB on February 20, 2019, a day short of his 96th birthday. He was born in Bella, Potenza, Italy and immigrated to Balmertown, Ontario in 1953. He then relocated to Winnipeg in 1988.
Luigi is survived by his daughter Nina (Giuseppe), daughter-in-law Jennifer, sons Vincenzo (Sandra) and Tony (Tessie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Luigi was predeceased by his beloved wife Maria, his son Donato, brothers Felice and Giuseppe, and sister Teresa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home. Entombment will take place following the service at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street.
