It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Venkata Mahalakshmi Bavireddy, age 93, mother of Padma Atmuri (Rao), at home on Thursday, October 16, 2025 with her family by her side.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Padma (Rao), grandchildren Ganga (Chris), Nagasree (Colm) and great grandchildren Kiera Devi and Aidan Kiran, as well as many extended family members in North America and India.
Born in India (Andhra Pradesh) in 1932, she was the eldest of 10 children. Predeceased by her husband in 1957, she moved to Canada in 1985 to live with her only daughter and her family. For the past 40 years she was a beloved fixture in the community, becoming a surrogate aunty, sister and grandma for anyone she met.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
