Peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2012, Marga passed away at the age of 86 after a short battle with heart disease.
Marga was born and grew up in Germany, where she worked as a Kindergarten teacher and later on as a pay clerk, before becoming a full time home maker. In 1975 she immigrated with her husband to Canada, and has lived here in Winnipeg ever since. Marga lovingly took care of her only grandchild Terry during the time his parents had to work, and the two of them had a very special relationship together. She enjoyed sewing and handicraft, and loved tending her flower garden right up to her passing. She was a devoted member of St. Gerard Parish.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Juergen, daughter in law Marlene, and grandson Terry as well as her niece Heide Klapschinsky with family. She was predeceased by her husband Wilhelm Heck who passed away in 1988.
Prayers will be Wednesday, November 21, 2012, 7 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home.
Service will be Thursday, November 22, 2012, 10 a.m. at St. Gerard's Parish, 45 Foster, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Winnipeg Humane Society.
