Marion June Warren

Marion will be lovingly remembered by her children Blaine (Debbie), Todd (Leona) and Rod (Jennifer), and her grandchildren Blair, Michael, Emily, Duncan, Jordan (Kristina) and Breanna. Many loved cousins and friends are left to cherish her memory as well.

Marion was predeceased by her parents Michael and Evelyn Pollock and loving husband of 40 years Edward Warren.

Mom was born in Winnipeg on June 18, 1937, and spent most of her life in the Fort Rouge and Fort Garry areas, attending Earl Grey and Kelvin High Schools. Many happy hours were spent with friends at the Winnipeg Roller Rink where she met her future husband Ed. Once married, she and Ed settled into family life raising 3 boys.

Mom had a zest for life and could always have a good time with family and friends. Camping at Lee River and Detroit Lakes, boating, fishing, and travelling were the past times she enjoyed the most.

Mom was also busy during her working career as an administrative and clerical assistant and book keeping for Freed and Freed, Norwood Autobody and lastly, Pollock and Wright, from where she retired.

Favourite activities included bowling, line dancing and badminton as well as expressing her creativity painting ceramics and glass, Paper Tole and gardening. Her yard was always full of vibrant colour and beauty. Mom had a great love of animals, caring for the backyard visiting birds and wildlife (rabbits) and especially cherishing her many dogs throughout the years.

A celebration of life will be held at the Fort Garry Legion Branch #90 (762 Pembina Hwy) From 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, August 24th. A private family interment will be held at Waverley Memorial Gardens at a later date.
