Marjorie attended David Thompson and Elmwood High schools, graduating in 1962. She loved to dance and participated in many recitals during her youth. She was an avid fan of the television soap opera, ‘General Hospital’, watching her show faithfully for many decades. Marjorie also loved to knit and supplied the family with shawls, blankets, mittens, and hats.
Marjorie met Lawrence (or Larry) Myhre in 1961, and on August 26, 1967, they were married, eventually purchasing and moving into a house on Harbison Avenue East in the Elmwood neighborhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where they raised their loving family.
Marjorie was employed first at Merchant’s Consolidated from 1962 to 1969, but worked most of her life as a postal clerk at Canada Post from 1980 until her retirement in 2010.
Marjorie lived a life filled with love, laughter and family, and she brought so much joy to those around her. Her family and friends meant the world to her, and she was known for her continuous generosity and support of those around her, always thinking of others before herself. She cared deeply for her family, and others admired her for it. Marjorie will be deeply missed and will be fondly remembered forever.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Actionmarguerite Nursing Home, specifically to those who cared for her on the 4th and 2nd floors, for their kindness, support, and care.
