Nancy Jessie McLean

It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Jessie McLean announces her passing, on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the age of 68 years. Nancy is survived by her three older brothers Dave, Bruce, and Allan; and her two step-sister’s Karen and Betty-Anne. Nancy will be fondly remembered by her siblings, nieces and nephews, and their children. Nancy was predeceased by her brother Johnny McLean.

Born in Montreal, Nancy attended the Dawson Cegep and received a diploma in Literature. She then went to the University of Concordia, graduated with a B.A. Sociology Major, Magna Cum Laude.

After graduation, she began a career with the Canada Revenue Agency until her early retirement. After retirement, Nancy moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her brother Dave and his family.

We want to thank the nurses and staff of Calvary Place for the love and support they provided Nancy during her stay with them.

A private viewing at 10h30 will be followed by a Funeral Service in memory of Nancy on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 10h55 am, at the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, with Father Darrin Gurr officiating. Interment will follow at St-Vital cemetery. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Nancy to a charity of their choice.
